Sign Up to Accept Payments via PayPal

Since most wholesale customers prefer to be invoiced and pay later, you will probably want to offer that as an option at the very least. And you may decide to offer that as the only payment option. We will have more detailed instructions later on about how to set up payment options.

However, if you want to provide an option for online payment, you will want to sign up to accept online payments early in the process. There are other ways to accept online payments, but PayPal works well with WooCommerce, the e-commerce plugin we are using for these instructions, so we will focus on that option here.

You may also want the ability to accept online payments if you will be selling products to retail customers. We know of farmers who use PayPal to accept payments for CSA memberships or for pre-orders of garden transplants.

PayPal provides a page where you can sign up to accept online payments. Since they walk you through the process step by step, we won’t go into details here.
